Speech Team
The MHS Speech (or Forensics) Team is dedicated to cultivating lifelong communication skills and strategies while competing through the IHSA at the local, regional, and state levels in forensics. While some of the more traditional aspects of giving speeches exist in some forensic events, many involve more performance/acting of scripts or the reading/interpretation of poetry and prose pieces. Speech performance is about building up our students’ confidence in speaking, collaborating, and creating with their peers. We hope that the MHS Speech Team can be a place for students to learn and grow throughout their high school careers!
