College Visits at MHS

Throughout the year, many colleges and universities send representatives to MHS to meet with our students. This is a convenient way for students to learn about potential schools without leaving Morton, IL! Please reference the College Representatives Visit Calendar to see which schools are coming to visit MHS.

Financial Aid Information & Resources

Before choosing a college, accepting financial aid, or getting a student loan, it's important that you have an understanding of what will be required of you upon graduation - or even before. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is the college access and financial aid agency in the state of Illinois that administers scholarship, grant, prepaid tuition, and student loan repayment/forgiveness programs. The ISACorps is responsible for assisting students with career exploration, college selection, test preparation, scholarship searches, application completion, and the financial aid process.

  • Morton High School ISAC representative, Jacob Harlan, visits MHS throughout the school year providing assistance with financial aid information, FAFSA completion workshops, and college application workshops. You can email Jacob directly at [email protected]!
  • The FAFSA application and more information can be found here.

Scholarship Resources

2023-2024 Scholarship Opportunities
This is a living document that provides information regarding current scholarship opportunities available to students. There are many free scholarship searches available online, but please be wary of any that require credit card or personal information. Some of the most trustworthy options are listed in the Beyond Morton High School Packet!

In February each year, the MHS Counseling Office distributes the local scholarship packet. This packet contains information on a multitude of scholarships that are offered from people and organizations in our area. This is a great opportunity for students as they are only competing against other MHS students for the scholarships! Please contact your MHS Counselor for more information.
