Kirk EdwardsPrincipal

Kirk Edwards is the Principal at Morton High School. He started his career in education Eastern Illinois University where he majored in English, minored in Social Studies, and received his teaching certificate for grades 6-12. Upon graduating from college, Kirk worked at Pekin Community High School where he taught English and Social Studies for ten and a half years. During that time he earned two Master's degrees. His first degree is from St. Xavier University in the area of Educational Leadership. His second degree is from Illinois State University in the area of Educational Administration. Mr. Edwards then moved to Morton High School where he was an Assistant Principal for five years. He then moved to Eureka High School where he was Principal for six years. The 2024-2025 school year marks his first year as Principal at Morton High School.

 

 

Mr. Edwards has wife, Brandi, who also works in the field of education. Kirk and Brandi have three children: a daughter, Kamden; a daughter, Emersyn; and a son, Greysen.
