Mrs. Holly Riggins grew up in Washington and attended Washington Community High School. She spent her college years at Illinois State University, earning a degree in history education. Mrs. Riggins taught US History for six years at Pekin Community High School before becoming a counselor at MHS in 2011. She has attended Bradley University for both her MA in School Counseling and Educational Leadership certificate. In 2016, Mrs. Riggins became the Director of Counseling.
Mrs. Christina Kienitz grew up in Lubbock, Texas and Michigan City, Indiana. She attended Ball State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies Education. During thirteen years as a Social Studies teacher at Pekin Community High School, Mrs. Kienitz also completed a Master of Science at ISU in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Science in School Counseling at Bradley. Mrs. Kienitz was a school counselor at PCHS for two years before becoming a school counselor at MHS in 2016. Mrs. Kienitz is thrilled to be a part of the greater Morton Community and to collaboratively serve the students and families of MHS!
Mrs. Stephanie Brown grew up in Stockton and she attended Western Illinois where she earned a Bachelors in Psychology and Spanish. Upon graduation, Mrs. Brown attended Ball State University and earned her MA in School Counseling. She worked as a high school counselor at Eureka High School and during that time Mrs. Brown also completed the Educational Leadership program through American College of Education. For the past two years, she has worked with The DAX Foundation and enjoyed serving in that capacity. She is so excited to be at Morton High School working with the students, faculty, and parents alike in this wonderful community!
