Juniors and Seniors - you are officially invited to Morton High School Prom "A Night Under the Lights" THIS Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Five Points in Washington. The dance starts at 7:30 and coronation of King and Queen will be held at 9pm promptly. Tickets go on sale WEDNESDAY and will be sold through lunch on Friday for a price of $20.00 a piece OR 2 for $40.00 (great bargain)!!! No tickets will be sold at the door.
In Their Own Write
In Their Own Write is Friday evening! 7:00 - 8:00! (Only an hour!!) Spend an hour Friday night marveling in the outstanding talents of the MHS theatre and music students! The evening consists of 2 student-written/directed 15-minute plays, and 8 2.5-minute student music compositions, played by musicians from Illinois Wesleyan. Admission is FREE! Eli's coffee will be in the lobby! Come relax and enjoy!

Parking Pass Applications for 2017-18 School Year
The Parking Pass applications for the 2017-18 school year will be available beginning on Monday, 04/24. These applications will be found in the Information Center outside the Counseling Office. Students who qualify for a parking spot (Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors who will have a valid license by 09/30/17)will need to turn in their completed application & payment ($75.00) to the Student Services Office by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, 04/28/17, to be considered for a parking pass next school year. Late applications will NOT be accepted. Please contact Samantha Frey in the Student Services Office if you have any questions/concerns, 309-284-6120.
Color Guard Auditions
Date: April 25,26 and 27 (Please attend at least 2, all three if possible)
Time: 3:15 - 5:00
Location: High School West Gym
Who: Anyone interested in joining Color Guard for the 2017 Marching season.
Bring: A pole if you have one. If you do not have your own pole one will be provided for you.
Format: Workshop style audition, learn, practice, repeat. No need to prepare anything on your own. No need for prior experience. We will teach you and help you learn concepts and basics.
Chris Rodriguez recently earned the Bronze Award on the National Spanish exam. ¡Enhorabuena! Stop by the main office if you would like to purchase a brick for the Alumni Garden.
The bricks include a message with a maximum of 18 letter and spaces per line and maximum of 3 lines, the cost is $50

PlayHouse Teen Internships
High School students are invited to join the PlayHouse Teen Internship Program. This program will run throughout the summer, and will provide teens with volunteer opportunities as well as workshops that will help prepare them for their future careers.
Teens must be 14 to 17 years of age, and/or entering 9th through 12th grades. Teen Interns will learn what a children’s museum is and how it operates, facilitate informal learning among children and families, understand workplace rules such as punctuality, appearance, and engagement, and promote the value of the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum for its audiences and the Central Illinois community.
