Turnabout Dance!!

Tournabout Tickets will go on sale this week for the Dance that's coming up this weekend. Tickets will be on sale in the MidWay on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Tickets are $10 for each person ($20 a couple). Remember, it's not too late! Find a date!

Student Council

 Anyone that has served on student council and would like to run for the 2018-2019 Student Council Executive Board, may pick up a packet in student services. Questions can be directed at Ms. Fountain in the Special Education office or Mr. Bradford in room 32.


Lead Guitarist

The Addams Family, has an opening for a lead guitarist in the pit orchestra. This is a newer Broadway musical that has a rock style of music. If you play electric guitar, have Thursday afternoons free, are a team player, and like a challenge, this group is for you! Anyone interested should contact Mrs. Berger ([email protected]) right away.


Applications for the Work Based Learning

Construction Program.

WBL-Construction is a full year, half day pre-apprenticeship program.  The competency-based Construction program exposes students to a variety of high-skill,high-wage construction industry careers. Students participate in specialized hands-on training, classroom instruction and internships at various locations, including apprenticeship schools and local construction job sites. Instruction includes a focus on safety and the skills necessary to succeed in various construction careers,from skilled trades to project management.    

Applications are available in the Counseling Office and are due to Mrs. Kienitz by February 23rd.




After a one year vacation, the Sophomore Class is excited to announce that the Tournabout Dance is back! The date for Tournabout is February 24th, so make sure to mark your calendars. Girls have all the power on this one, so girls start making your plans!

Come as a romantic couple, or as individuals or friends! The theme will be Valentine’s Day...but don’t worry if you didn’t get a red rose from somebody...white or pink is just fine. The dress will be don’t have to be as formal as prom or homecoming, but no jeans or common clothes please.

Ticket information will come out as we get closer to the dance, but make sure to mark your calendars now for February 24th for a night of fun!



We are excited to kick off the 2018 Morton High School Bass Fishing Season with a brief meeting on Tuesday February 27 at 3pm in the cafeteria.

The Bass Fishing Team is open to any Morton High School student with a desire to learn more about fishing. Whether you are a beginner or a skilled angler, all are welcomed to attend. If you don’t have fishing equipment, don’t let that stop you from attending this meeting. It is our goal to expand the fishing program at Morton, and we will provide basic fishing equipment for those who need it during practices/tournaments.

It’s AP Exam Registration Time! 

Here’s what you need to do:
Check your email and respond to the “2018 AP Exam Registration” Google Form (emailed 2/21)
If you did not get a Google Form, see Mrs. Kienitz.
If taking exam(s), pay for the exam(s) in eFunds or by check (made out to MHS) to Mrs. Zehr by 3/20. 
Registration (Google Form & payment) is due by Tuesday, March 20th.  No late registration will be accepted.
If taking AP Exam(s), attend the mandatory AP Exam Pre-Administration Session on Thursday, May 3rd in the cafeteria during 4th hour. 
Read all your emails from Mrs. Kienitz because more AP Exam information will be coming!  Thank you! 😀


Part Time Summer Custodians

There are a few openings for students to work on the summer custodial staff, must be 16 years old by May 22, 2018.
Apply online at by Friday, March 2nd.
Fingerprinting and physical will be required by all applicants hired. Must be completed by first working day. District does pay for both.

SAT Prep

Look no further for FREE test prep for the SAT sanctioned and approved by the CollegeBoard (maker of the SAT)!  Khan Academy is the answer.  Go to and click Start Practicing.  Follow the directions to link your College Board Account (PSAT, AP, etc.) OR take the diagnostic quiz to get personalized help.  

Remember: the SAT is being given at MHS to all juniors on Wednesday, April 10th.  The aptitude test is a graduation requirement and a free college entrance exam for you.  Take time to prepare and show us your best!



To the Parents/Guardians of grade 11 and 12 students:

Each high school junior takes the SAT in April.  The SAT is one measure of the progress your child has made toward college readiness. 

Please sign below indicating whether you do or do not want all of your student’s SAT, ACT, and Advanced Placement Exam scores affixed to the student’s transcript.  (Please note a single score cannot be sent alone or deleted.)  Please complete the notice below and return the signed document to the Counseling Office by March 29th.  If you fail to return the form, your child’s SAT, ACT, and Advanced Placement Exams will NOT be affixed to the transcript.                 Select Form



All Juniors will be taking the SAT test on April 10, 2018. We will be offering a review for this test on March 15, 19 & 22, 2018. This review is designed to prepare Junior students for the SAT test.

Each night has a focus. The topics for the SAT review will cover reading, writing, language, SAT essay and math. The cost is $75 for all three nights. This covers the cost of book, materials and instructors.

Registration for the review will be January 9 - February 9, 2018. You may register for this review through payment on EFUNDS. Your student will receive registration paperwork during study hall and through email.
