Scholarships – began in 2005
MABC offers a $1000 scholarship to a graduating male athlete and a $1000 scholarship to a graduating female athlete each year to be used in their further education (college, technical school, etc.)
Students write an approximate two page essay explaining what being a student athlete at Morton High School has helped prepare them for their life after high school
Essays writers are anonymous to the board members
Booster Club board reads and votes on who receives the scholarships
Occurs during March of athlete’s senior year – see MHS Counseling office for details

Accomplishments
Booster club donates money to the following plus many other items each year:
$500 to each of the 19 athletic departments at MHS each year
$20,000 to the remodeled weight room
New carpet in the boys and girls varsity locker rooms
30 pairs of jump sole shoes for all athletes to train with
Need volunteers
For helping at sporting events
Volunteers are needed to help the home sporting events run smoothly
